These images are selected from a journey the photographer made in 1972 to Canada and Alaska. He travelled through the west of Canada to Anchorage, stopping at small gas stations en route.

This is the focus of this collection. Nostalgic, slightly odd snapshots of urban life, punctuated by the unrivalled colours of Kodachrome film.

These photographs lay totally untouched since they were taken, 55 years ago and are the first time they have been shared.
