On The Ganges
India (1976)
The untold story: The Ganges in 1976 was much like it is today - used by millions of people, and a source of colour, chaos and beauty.
Taken from a tiny boat that floated with my Grandad aboard down the river, this was probably on the Ghats of Varanasi, a sacred set of steps for Hindus to bathe in the river as part of pilgrimages and rituals.
