Snake Charmer
India (1970)
The untold story: Still practiced today, snakes are viewed by many in India as animals of sacred symbolism, and the art of charming them a religious act. Often seen through the semi-colonial image of Indian exoticism, the man in the image uses the pungi, a wind instrument to bring the snake out the bag, and give my grandad a direct shot.
