Hong Kong at Night III
(1979)
The untold story: Sometimes known as the golden era of Hong Kong, the 1970/80s were heaven for night time photography, and in this case even better for 'star' filters as my Grandad must have borrowed from a friend.
The neon signs you see here have largely gone, due to health regulations and excessive energy consumption, but back then, to visit Hong Kong was a visit lit up in neon, showing off bars, clubs, casinos and all kinds of dark dingy alleyways. See the Map page for more.
